Original Margaret Preston 1932 Framed Banksia Woodcut. Margaret Preston was born in Adelaide and by the 1920's she had become one of Australia's leading modernist artists. She's famous for her paintings and woodcuts of local landscapes and native flora.

This original lino-cut was created for, and distributed in Manuscripts: A Miscellany of Art and Letters. An art journal from the early 1930's that included original lino-cuts by local artists. This is an edition of 750, uncoloured from issue number 2 published in 1932. The initials MP are in the block print.

The frame is complimentary and the print is excellent. It's better in person as it's hard to photo behind glass. Any shiny areas in the images are reflections.
