Striking mid century mixed media original art work by Viktor Mednis. This striking abstract impressionist painting was probably painted around the 1950's. The abstract figures and chosen colouring reflecting early indignius early Australians in a landscape scene. Signed Vik Mednis in the top right corner.
Framed and measuring 90cm x 71.5cm. In good vintage condition.
Viktor Mednis studied at the Melbourne Art Gallery School before working as an industrial designer and glass engraver in Adelaide. He has produced murals for city buildings and established a studio and gallery in the Adelaide Hills in 1971.
