The chair is fully demountable and made from beech and a moulded laminated timber seat. The back comprises a slip on canvas back. The chairs have new leather seat cushions. This is a rare chair anywhere let alone in Australia and for a long time the true identity alluded me until correspondence directly with FDR Mobler provided the identity! The frames have been restored and refinished with a light oil and with the new seat pads the chairs present spectacularly - elegant simple lines!
