Like many mid century designers from around the globe Australians’ own John Duffecy was inspired by the demountable military Campaign Chairs. The Safari chair was born! This arm chair was Duffecys’ version, lower and more reclined than the campaign Chair this is a Safari Arm / Lounge chair.

This dates from the Cabana/ Duffecy collaborative era ( late 1950s early 60s ). Originally from the ‘Jack’ house in Wahroonga, this beauty has been restored and recovered in cow skin with natural leather highlights, fashioned by a master saddle maker commissioned for the job.
