 This late 19th Century antique Victorian compact writing desk has it very own inbuilt compartmentalised writing box to store your writing instruments. There is a well tooled leather top that has been gilt coloured. The Malborough shaped tapering legs are elegant and hint at an arts and crafts style. Inlaid stringing on both the legs and top, combined with the ornately patterned inlay of the backboard for the writing box suggest this was an upmarket desk for its period. It could be used for a small desk for a laptop or I think it would make a great console table in a hallway.

The condition is fair, there leather is lifting slightly in one corner and there are some marks visible. Structurally sound.
